Exploring Your Potential Between the Boundaries. In the vast realm of human existence, both individually and collectively, we encounter a complex interplay between self-imposed limitations and those imposed by society. It is within this intricate web of boundaries that our true potential lies, awaiting exploration and transcendence. Today, I want to talk to you about the possibilities of surpassing our self-imposed limitations while acknowledging the stifling effect societal constraints can have on our individuality.
Breaking Free from Personal Boundaries
As individuals, we often find ourselves grappling with the boundaries we have constructed within our minds. These self-imposed limitations can manifest in various forms, such as doubts, fears, and insecurities. They serve as protective barriers, shielding us from the unknown and preserving our comfort zones. However, there exists within us a perpetual yearning for growth and self-actualization, compelling us to challenge these boundaries.
The desire to surpass our limitations stems from an innate thirst for progress and self-improvement. We are driven to explore uncharted territories, both internally and externally, in order to uncover our true potential. By pushing against the boundaries we have set for ourselves, we embark on a transformative journey that allows us to tap into reservoirs of untapped talents and capabilities. It is through this process of self-discovery and self-mastery that we can transcend our self-imposed limitations, reaching heights we once thought unattainable.
The Dual Nature of Societal Constraints
However, as we venture into the realm of societal boundaries, a different set of limitations emerges. Society, driven by norms, expectations, and conformity, can inadvertently stifle the essence of our individuality. These constraints are often ingrained within our cultural fabric and exert influence on our choices, behaviors, and aspirations. In our pursuit of acceptance and belonging, we sometimes find ourselves compromising our unique identity, succumbing to the pressure of societal norms.
Exploring Your Potential Between the Boundaries
While societal boundaries may provide a sense of order and cohesion, they can potentially hinder our personal growth and self-expression. The fear of judgment and rejection can create a formidable barrier, preventing us from fully embracing our true selves. It is through the conformity imposed by society that our authenticity becomes threatened, leading to a diluted sense of personal identity.
Questioning and Redefining Societal Norms
It is essential to recognize that societal boundaries are not insurmountable. In fact, they present an opportunity for introspection and reflection, encouraging us to critically evaluate the constraints placed upon us. By questioning the validity and impact of these boundaries, we can reclaim our autonomy and redefine our paths. It is in this act of liberation that we unlock the potential to redefine societal norms and shape a future where individuality is cherished and celebrated.
The exploration of personal and societal boundaries is an intricate dance between our inherent desire for growth and the influence exerted upon us by societal norms. By acknowledging and challenging our self-imposed limitations, we open doors to uncharted territories of personal growth and fulfillment. Simultaneously, by critically examining and transcending the limitations imposed by society, we foster an environment that values and nurtures individuality. It is within this delicate balance that we can unleash the full spectrum of human potential and redefine the limits of what is possible.
How do you think we can liberate ourselves?
What do you think about the possibility of surpassing our own limits or the impact of societal boundaries on our individuality? How do you think we can liberate ourselves and express our authenticity with confidence? I eagerly await to read your thoughts and perspectives in the comment section below. There are no limits to the power of dialogue and the exchange of ideas!
The human will to change, to start over, to turn the page, is a fascinating phenomenon. It reflects our inherent desire for growth, progress, and self-improvement. Throughout history, individuals have demonstrated an unwavering determination to alter the course of their lives and shape their destinies. As I reflect upon this subject, I find myself contemplating the possibility of change and whether people truly have the capacity to transform themselves.
I believe the individual change is both a conscious desire and a result of external circumstances. It is a delicate interplay between the individual’s willpower and the influence of the environment. When it comes to desiring change, some people possess an inherent hunger for personal development. They are driven by an innate curiosity and an unrelenting urge to reach their full potential. This internal motivation pushes them to challenge their beliefs, question societal norms, and embark on transformative journeys.
On the other hand, change can also be provoked by external factors, such as life-altering events or encounters with significant individuals. Sometimes, a single moment can act as a catalyst for profound transformation. It could be a profound loss that forces one to reevaluate their priorities, a chance encounter that sparks a new passion, or a mentor who inspires and guides them towards self-discovery. These external triggers have the power to awaken dormant desires for change and propel individuals towards a new path.
Change is a process, not an effortless endeavor
Change is not an effortless endeavor. It requires immense determination, resilience, and a willingness to confront one’s deepest fears and insecurities. It demands stepping out of the comfort zone, embracing uncertainty, and enduring the inevitable setbacks along the way. Change is a process, often accompanied by internal struggles, doubts, and moments of vulnerability. It is in these moments that true growth occurs, as we confront our limitations and expand the boundaries of our capabilities.
Embracing individual change as a non linear progression
While change is indeed possible, it is essential to acknowledge that it is not a linear progression. The human journey is filled with complexities and contradictions. There will be times when we stumble, revert to old patterns, or feel overwhelmed by the magnitude of the transformation we seek. However, it is precisely in these moments that we must find the strength to persevere and recommit ourselves to the path of change.
In my own personal experience, I have witnessed the transformative power of change. I have seen individuals who have overcome seemingly insurmountable challenges, reinvented themselves, and emerged stronger than ever. I have also experienced moments of personal transformation, where I have shed old identities and embraced new possibilities. Through these experiences, I have come to believe that change is not only possible but also necessary for our growth and fulfillment as human beings.
The human will to change is a remarkable force. Whether driven by internal desires or external circumstances, individuals have the capacity to transform themselves and rewrite the narratives of their lives. However, change is not an easy path. It requires courage, perseverance, and a willingness to confront the unknown. Yet, within the process of change lies the opportunity for profound personal growth and self-discovery. As I continue my own journey of change, I embrace the challenges it presents and remain open to the transformative possibilities that lie ahead.
In the last 20 years, the connections between people have undergone a significant transformation compared to past times. We have entered an era where virtual connections dominate the social landscape, leaving behind face-to-face interactions. Personally, in the last period of time, I have begun to question the authenticity and depth of these virtual connections. While it is fascinating to be able to communicate with people from around the world in a matter of seconds, I wonder if we have lost something important in the process.
Virtual connections are ubiquitous in our contemporary society. Through social media platforms and online messaging, we can interact with friends, colleagues, and strangers in a quick and convenient manner. Despite these conveniences, I have noticed that we often feel isolated and unfulfilled amidst this digital labyrinth. In this virtual world, we control the words and images we distribute, construct online identities, and present only a limited part of ourselves. In this process, the risk of losing our authentic connection with others is very real.
However, when it comes to face-to-face interactions, we have the opportunity to experience a wider range of emotions and expressions. It is in the gaze and gestures of those beside us that we find the compassion, joy, and sadness that define our humanity. Direct touch, for instance, has the power to convey comfort and connection in a profound way. A simple gesture of a caress can express more than a thousand words. In physical contact with others, we experience that something hard to define but essential in human interactions.
The undeniable value of direct connections vs the advantages of virtual interactions
Nevertheless, despite the undeniable value of direct connections, I cannot ignore the advantages of virtual connections. They have brought people closer in many ways. We have been able to learn about other cultures, discover commonalities with individuals we would never have otherwise met, and connect with entire communities of people with similar interests. Moreover, virtual connections can provide support and solace in moments of loneliness and isolation.
Thus, when trying to understand the connections between people in the 21st century, I find myself in a fragile balancing point between the virtual world and the real one. Both bring with them advantages and disadvantages, but I believe that the authenticity and depth of our connections depend on how we manage them. It is important not to be captive to the screen and not to forget to connect with the people around us. Let us appreciate the beauty of face-to-face interactions and be aware of the power that human touch holds.
In conclusion, the connections between people of this days are complex and fascinating. We are in the midst of a digital revolution where virtual connections dominate, but we should not underestimate the importance of face-to-face interactions. In this era of ephemeral connections, let us remember that the true depth of human relationships can be found in the authenticity and vulnerability we share in our direct encounters with others. Let us find the balance and connect in a way that enriches us and brings us closer to the essence of being human.
The Balancing Act of Human Connections in My Abstract Vision:
In this vast and complex world we live in, curiosity is the beacon that guides us towards a profound understanding of our surroundings. Our questions, those small punctuation marks of our minds, have the power to bring light into the fog of the unknown. They open doors to new horizons, encouraging us to explore, discover, and evolve. The question is the ancestor of the answer and the tool through which we obtain knowledge.
Curiosity is an inner force that cannot be ignored. It is a flame burning deep within my soul, yearning to be nourished with answers. My questions are like seeds, planted in the fertile soil of the mind, in the hope that they will grow and transform into blooming trees of wisdom. They are the expression of my desire to know more, to delve into the heart of mystery, to uncover the truth that lies beyond appearances.
ASK 40×40 cm abstract geometric on wood
However, the power of questioning lies not only in the search for answers but also in the process of seeking itself. A well-formulated question opens doors and unlimited possibilities. It leads us on unexplored paths and challenges us to look beyond what is obvious. The question sets in motion the wheel of thought and encourages us to find creative and innovative solutions to our problems. It is an instrument of liberation, helping us surpass the boundaries of our limited thinking and explore unknown territories.
Yet, sometimes, the received answers can be disappointing. There are moments when our questions may be met with vagueness, ambiguity, or even silence. These moments of disappointment can be challenging to accept. However, it is important to understand that the process of seeking answers is more important than the answer itself. Each question teaches us something about ourselves and the world we live in.
Disappointment can be an opportunity to reassess our questions and adjust their direction. It can help us understand that sometimes answers are not always clear, and the journey to truth can be arduous. Faced with disappointment, we are invited to question whether we have formulated the right question, whether we have approached the issue from all possible angles, and whether we have been open enough to accept answers that do not align with our expectations.

Curiosity and disappointment are two sides of the same process of seeking understanding. They complement each other, and the interaction between them helps us evolve and grow. Each question is a step forward on the path to knowledge, and each answer – whether satisfying or disappointing – offers us a new perspective on the world and ourselves.
Ultimately, the power of questioning lies in its ability to challenge, inspire, and transform us. Our questions define our journey and lead us to our inner truth. They remind us that we are in a continuous search, and the answers we find are never the end of our journey but the beginning of a new chapter in our understanding.
Therefore, I will continue to ask questions, to explore, and to learn from the answers I receive. My curiosity will always be a beacon lighting my path, and disappointment will always be a friend encouraging me to seek further. Through the power of questioning and the effects of received answers, I will continue to evolve and discover new horizons in my knowledge of the world and myself.
My visual interpretation of the power of questioning:

Salutare tuturor!
O reflecție personală asupra picturii acrilice pe pânză: Wrong Side of Heaven
Are you considering hanging an abstract painting in your living room? Here are 6 Tips for Hanging an Abstract Painting in Your Living Room. An abstract painting can add a unique and vibrant element to your space, creating a focal point that captures attention and sets the tone for the room. However, choosing the right painting and hanging it properly can be challenging.
Here are 6 tips to help you hang an abstract painting in your living room like a pro:
Choose the Right Wall
6 Tips for Hanging an Abstract Painting in Your Living Room
The first step in hanging an abstract painting is to select the right wall. Consider the size of the painting and the overall dimensions of the room. A large painting may look best on a larger wall, while a smaller painting may be better suited for a smaller space. Additionally, think about the amount of light the wall receives and whether it will affect the painting over time.
Find the Right Height
To make your painting easily visible and appreciated, hang it at eye level or slightly above. The center of the painting should be around 57-60 inches from the floor, which is the standard height for hanging artwork. If you are hanging the painting above a piece of furniture, make sure that the bottom of the painting is at least 8-10 inches above the furniture to create visual space.
Lighting Matters
Lighting can make a big difference in how an abstract painting looks in your living room. Consider the type of lighting you have and whether it will enhance or detract from the painting. Avoid hanging your painting in direct sunlight or under harsh fluorescent lighting, which can cause fading or damage to the artwork. Instead, use ambient or accent lighting to showcase the painting’s colors and textures.
Complement Your Color Scheme
When selecting an abstract painting, consider the color scheme of your living room. You want to choose a painting that either complements or contrasts with the room’s colors to create a harmonious effect. Consider the primary colors in the painting and whether they match or complement the other colors in the room. Also, think about the overall mood you want to create with your painting, whether it be calming or energizing.
Consider Framing
Some abstract paintings look best without a frame, while others benefit from being framed. If you decide to frame your painting, choose a frame that complements the artwork and your living room’s decor. A simple, black frame can work well for a modern or minimalist space, while a more ornate frame may suit a traditional or eclectic living room.
Make it the Focal Point
Once you’ve selected your painting and hung it properly, make sure it stands out as the focal point of your living room. Hang it in a prominent location, such as above the sofa or fireplace, and avoid overcrowding the space with other decorations. By doing so, you’ll create a beautiful and harmonious living room that you’ll enjoy spending time in.
In conclusion, hanging an abstract painting in your living room can be a fun and creative way to enhance your space. By following these six tips, you’ll be able to choose the right painting, hang it properly, and create a beautiful and inviting atmosphere in your living room.
I like to create things, to start new art projects as it is the Shape Project – beyond the boundaries. I like this very much and it does not matter the form, the value or the meaning. It does not matter if these things are considered art or simple objects. To create, for me it is as if I have an superpower with which I can stop the time. Then everything is possible, the rules disappear and so do the limits and the impossible can be transposed into my creation.
How the Shape Project started
Abstract art isn’t easy, but it’s so beautiful !
It was so easy to start this project with Trisha. The hard part came later ?. Yeah, i said easy because Trisha and I are two artists who are exploring and experimenting a lot on the abstract side. I will tell you more about Trisha in the lines below. Till then, let me introduce you inside our Shape Project .
The idea: „let’s draw two shapes and exchange them between us, then create something based on the received drawing, the shape.” I drew a completely random, meaningless shape, a little complicated to integrate into Trisha’s painting style. And she drew a balloon, just as complicated to integrate into my style, with straight lines. She knew how to
White Shadow Shape Project beyond the boundaries Once upon a time Shape Project beyond the boundaries
As I said, it was simple at first. But later I felt out of my comfort zone. When I realized it was more complicated than I thought, I was determined to do something special. To keep the balloon shape, even to go to a 3D structure and at the same time keep my abstract style, with straight line.
After killing half of the neurons, I set to work, „I knew what I had to do.” ? .
Grinding wooden sticks and my fingers too ? . The artist’s sacrifice for the love of art.
One day, when we talk about the project, Trisha told me that it would be interesting to count the number of pieces of wood I use. Because I liked the idea and I considered i can do more than that, I decided to measure each piece of wood. ? I stopped this activity after it reached 154 pieces, with a total length of 1886 cm. ?
In the end I think I used about 200 pieces of wood, with a total length of about 2000 cm
Studying angles. Pythagoras must be very jealous.
How the Shape Project – beyond the boundaries goes in time?
The creation process took several months. It was a slow process. I can’t explain if it was long because I liked working on this project and I didn’t want to finish it too quickly or because I had some doubts about what the final shape will be. I changed my mind so many times. But, challenging my creative part was that thing that brings me happiness and much more desire to explore the universe of art and explore my imagination.
Meanwhile I decided to call it „White Shadow„. I think this name fully reflects what I wanted to achieve from some pieces of wood and white acrylic paint on a wooden board of 60 x 80 cm.

Great experience, wonderful collaboration (thanks Trisha). A process full of emotions, exceeded limits, a deep dialogue with my imagination. The rest is a story that I leave you to discover in the pictures below:
About my collaborator, one of the most talented artists I’ve ever met:
Trisha Dullu – the artist of endless journey
Trisha is a self-taught visual artist, carving her niche tirelessly through the years with arduous experiments, enriching experiences, in-depth research and most importantly failures. This journey has also included self-study along with studying the works of her favorite artists. While this journey has been a very fulfilling and satisfying one so far, yet the unquenching thirst to learn and create more, has been her constant guiding light. She genuinely feels like a constant work-in-progress.She has thoroughly loved and enjoyed every step of her journey so far and is eagerly looking forward to many more years of expressing herself through her Art.
“Experimentation has been the doorway to my success.”
Trisha’s forte is impressionist acrylic art focusing mainly on abstracts and land/seascapes paintings. She also loves to dabble in mixed media art techniques to bring about a variety in her work and seek out newer techniques and mediums. But, let me share with you few of her absolutely stunning artworks:
Once Upon A Time – mixed media abstract – part of Shape Project – beyond the boundaries
[…]My painting tells a story of a time as it was. The time that stands still now narrating a beautiful story of yesteryears through an object which could have been someone’s most prized possession but now forgotten in this dilapidated room.
There are so many things I feel inspired by and want to capture in the folds of my canvas. This painting has many such elements like texture walls, distressed vintage furniture, monochrome setup and dragonfly. I decided to use a lot of structure paste to create different textures in different section of my work. I have used acrylic paints, ink (my new love), charcoal and mixed media. […] Read more

I started to enjoy more and with greater appetite the simple things that happen to me. Maybe it took me a long time to learn this, or I just could before, I just didn’t feel it like I do now. The simple things for me are the most important. Simple, natural things that come and happen just make me so happy. That’s what happened with this interview done by Ishika. It simply happened. It’s a short interview, but one that encompasses so much of me. These are not pretentious, academic words, but they are true. They are about me and what I do, what I want.
I leave you to read. Your comments are welcome!
Interview with Ghortin by Ishika Guha
[ Doru Coroiu is a talented visual artist based in Romania. His works are brilliant in conception and easily recognisable for the use of exceptional colours. Looking at his stunning abstracts you can easily embrace the whole idea of our art being all about this special doorway to access those aspects of our own innerselves; love his palettes and textures oh-so much!
Each of his abstracts bring out that multidimensional form of colourful thoughts and ideas very successfully. So, I could not help asking Doru about his art journey and about his life surrounding these powerful works of art. Doru wrote back to me, he wrote how his artworks encompass his experimental ideas where he plays with wood, acrylics or even different industrial materials as his mediums! His recent passion for clay pottery and applied arts also came up through our art talk.
The first question from the interview „Why art?”:
My first question to Doru was, „Why Art?”, Doru replied, „The passion for photography, painting, drawing and sculpting came from my parents, who also practised art in their own ways. As a child, I had the opportunity to hold a brush, a sculpture chisel, a charcoal pencil and a camera… thus began my passionate and interesting journey into the world of Art. Over time, I have realized that there is no better expression than Art for me… so whether it is drawing, painting, photography, sculpting or even writing poems, I feel most comfortable drawing out my emotions through these mediums. With time, I have gradually sharpened my skills and developed this hobby with great care until one day it became a full-time profession for me.
I have been doing event and macro photography for over 10 years now. The process of capturing people’s emotions on their special days and defining them through finer details ignites an undeniable spark in me. This passion for photography still grows deep in me every day.
Art was a natural progression from photography for me, expedited with the pandemic of course. I started painting in 2020 when I was relatively free. Initially I painted without any expectations. I painted because I wanted to just paint. Gradually, I realised Art helped me voice out my opinions and philosophies of life. They have now become the vehicle for my thoughts. I continue to learn and develop as a person who loves art.” Doru’s art journey is absolutely incredible as it shows how versatile he is with his art styles and processes!
| abstract painting on wood |
The second question of the interview: „What are the difficulties you encounter as an artist?”
And then the second question, „What are the struggles you face as an artist?”, Doru’s response was, „I make Art & render photography services so that I can support my family financially and it is normal to encounter difficulties while starting and marketing a business like this. However, I feel the will to create is such a powerful tool that it lights up our way making the struggles we face as Artists less discouraging. I am an optimist and I believe that through my way of thinking and will, there is nothing that I can’t overcome. What is harder to overcome is the fear of failure…the fear that what you create is not appreciated and fear of „competition”. A strong mind and a positive outlook are very important to overcome this.”I can so relate to you Doru! You are absolutely right, yes, being positive and keep yourself surrounded by like-minded people are very important to grow as a better human being and also as an artist! Couldn’t agree more with you there!
The last question of the interview: „What is your most important dream”?
And then my last question, „What is your ultimate dream?”…Doru replied, „I really want to see young people in Romania and beyond, embracing art progressively. I believe that art, in whatever form it takes, can help in the mental development of children, young people and ultimately all people. It is a great way for character building and developing a profound vision of life and family.I do not dream of green horses on the walls, although these dreams are very beautiful. I am a balanced person and I automatically try to find a middle way where I can dream of a beautiful future but at the same time I can very clearly analyze the alternatives and make the best decisions. The motto of my business is: „Listen to your imagination”. And that’s what I do every day.”
And yes, it really was beautiful!
.…What a beautiful journey, what an inspiring story and what an amazing motto you have there Doru! Listening to our heart and being truthful to our art can be so liberating, can be so powerful literally- as an artist! I wish you all the very best with your abstract journey and thank you ever so much for being here with my blog today. And for my readers, if you want to see more of Doru’s magnificent abstracts in their full glory, please do visit his website www.ghortin.com . Doru is also on Instagram and Twitter with @ghortin_com, please don’t forget to show him some love there! Until next time, have a fabulous week everyone; let’s colour up our days with more dreams, let’s have more fun painting! ]
